How can you contact us during your stay? Via e-mail (services@myfriendshouses.com) or call +351 916675611 every day from 8am to 8pm (during high season 24/7). Upon arrival you also receive the local contact.

How to proceed with the booking/make a reservation? The reservation becomes effective when My Friends’ Houses receives a deposit in the amount of 30% of the total rental amount. The remaining balance is due in cash upon arrival. The tenant may also pay the remaining balance by bank transfer at least one month prior to arrival at the property.

What are payment methods? PayPal or Bank transfer

Currency for payments: Always in EUR

Does My Friends’ Houses do long term rental? Some houses are possible for longer stays, depending on availability. Please e-mail us (link to e-mail form)

What is included in the rental? The rental price includes, bed linen and towels, end of stay cleaning, cable TV, and WiFi internet (if the service exists in the rented house) and a meet and greet upon arrival.

Is it possible to have extra guests? As for extra beds/guests, we try to keep the house with it´s ideal quote capacity, so you have a comfortable stay. Although all requests are analysed.

Special equipment for families with small children? Cots and high chair are provided upon request.

Are there any extra services available? Choose from any of our additional services (link it) or let us know what you are looking for.

Are there any extra fees/costs? To cover the loss or damage that may occur to the property and/or its objects, furniture or other, a security deposit is paid by the tenant in addition to the rent. This deposit is due in cash no later than the day of arrival. If no damage is found, the deposit is returned to the tenant upon departure.
A Tourist Tax applies, depending on the location (link to Cascais Tourism)

What is the cancelation policy? All cancellations need to be addressed in writing to My Friends’ Houses.
Cancellations made three months or more prior to the arrival date will result in full refund. Cancellations made up to six weeks prior to arrival will result in a refund of 50% of the deposit. After this, the deposit will be non refundable (however, it may be used towards another booking at ‘My Friends’ Houses’ for the same property, availability permitting. Should the owner cancel this agreement the client will be paid back their full deposit.

How do I find the address of the chosen villa? upon down payment, you receive the exact address and information of the house. For safety and privacy reasons we can not show or tell you before.

Is there AC in the houses? In Portugal, generally most houses are near the sea and do not heat up as for the nice breeze from the sea. In some houses, where needed, there is AC. Greece and Bali yes.

Local currency at final destination? Portugal, Greece, France: EUR; Switzerland: CHF; Bali: Rupiahs and some USD in cash upon arrival for Visa
